Reasons of tail bone pain ?
Mainly because of any direct injury over tail bone area / fall or during difficult vaginal normal delivery in females.

How to treat/ manage coccydynia pain after proper diagnosis?
Once we reach coccydynia diagnosis with the help of clinical and imaging like( X- Ray/ MRI ) then we should first try with conservative management .

  •  Avoid prolonged sitting for more then 15-20 minutes.
  • Use coccyx pillow or cushion while sitting to avoid any pressure over tail bone .
  • Do a sitzbath / hot water tub bath twice daily to reduce the inflammation.
  • If your pain does not relieved then can go for medicines suggested by your pain specialist doctor as well as can try for physiotherapy for 7 to 10 days.
Those who are not getting benefit with the above measures, can plan for nerve block (either coccygeal nerve block or ganglion impar block or both) to getrid of this pain.
