Osteoporosis increases the risk of breaking a bone. Almost 40-50%  of all women over the age of 50 may have a fracture of the hip, wrist, or spine during their lifetime.
Unlike younger age, after the age of 35-40 years, bones start to break down more quickly than it’s replaced. So it's very important to diagnose early and then treat all those patients who are at risk of developing Osteoporosis in later life. Dr. Vikas Tyagi explains more about Osteoporosis.
